We enjoyed our one night stay at this property, and found the staff welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is in a business park and not close to any other commercial property. It has a good restaurant and small bar on the ground floor that worked great for our one night stay. It has a pool and nice outdoor area as well as a small gym. Our room was comfortable and a nice size, but the furniture was a bit dated, and we had some trouble with the hot water. But the front desk staff jumped right on fixing it and we enjoyed our stay.

I used the day stay option as I needed to be close to the hospital and airport. We were given a room that backed onto the lifts. There was continuous loud banging and constant loud mechinical noises which did not allow me to get the vital rest I required.

Hotel let down as guests staying are an afterthought

I am disappointed with our stay and thus leaving a one star. Before our arrival we requested a fan and extra pillows in the room, although this is a request, we emailed back to say that they were in the room waiting for us already when we got here which was great. We requested it before we got here because we arrived at 1 am in the morning with two small children. Unfortunately when we got in the room guess what they went there so all the way back down to reception to sort this. . The water or coffee was not filled up during our stay despite requests. Which were ignored. We were woken early in the morning by a giant crane outside the room doing some work to the building. The walls are like paper. Overall not worth the money the guests seemed like an afterthought when they were away from the reception check in

On paper, this hotel could be incredible but unfortunately, half the stuff promised isn't there and staff are very dismissive of any requests or queries. We booked a 5 day stay in the Easter holidays, so chose to go a bit further out to avoid the busyness and bustle. This hotel offered a hotel with a pool, Aircon, good WiFi and not far from the city, so seemed ideal but aside from doing close to Rome, the rest of the services didn't apply at all! On arrival at the airport, the shuttle collected us very quickly and we were impressed with the initial service. Got to the room and yes it was a little basic but we were happy with it until we started trying to use things... that's when it went very quickly downhill! The real issues with this hotel: 1. There is NO Aircon, like not at all. The rooms are all promoted with Aircon but when we got to the room and couldn't get it working, I called reception and was told rather rudely that I "shouldn't expect Aircon at this time of year because it is still very cold at night...nowhere in the hotel has Aircon at this time of year and if you want to cool down just open the window!" The temperature outside was 26 degrees and the room was probably hotter and with the window open you just cannot believe the noise! We were on the front side of the hotel, which is facing a dog kennel, which we only discovered by googling it as the barking was so incredibly loud and started at around 6am when all the loud traffic started...given, you couldn't actually hear it if the window was closed but there was absolutely no way you could sleep in the heat of the hotel, so it was either sacrifice sleep due to heat or due to noise, which is disgraceful when the hotel is advertising as a hotel with Aircon in all the rooms. This has resulted in 4 days (so far) of very little sleep. 2. Because you're cooking in your room and you've got to have the window open, this makes you more sensitive to the paper thin walls, you can hear everything from the clicking of lights to the kettle boiling or the building work that seems to be constantly happening. 3. The WiFi is the worst I've ever experienced in a hotel. Couldn't watch our own Netflix or even anything on the TV...when you're staying for 5 nights, things like this are important and having to use roaming is expensive, so probably would have been more cost effective to stay in the center. 4. The swimming pool is only open for 4 months of the year which seems an incredible waste considering would have spent most of our time around the pool, spending money at the hotel as the weather was lovely. This was probably our faux pas as we just assumed that it would be open in the busiest seasons.More annoying however, you can't sit around the area near the pool...well actually you can, dependant on how giving the staff are feeling but when I asked the receptionist Iuri if I could have some cushions for the seats (that I'd seen people sitting on the day before), he informed me that there was no way they could do it as all the cushions were in storage. I explained I'd seen people out there on the cushions the day before but apparently I was wrong, only to come down the next day and viola... cushions have magically reappeared! What's the point in having the space if you can't sit there? And again, don't promote it as something it isn't. 5. The water pressure in the shower is awful and it's a choice of scowling hot or freezing cold. You'd have to run around under it for ages to get a little wet and always soaked the floor in the process. The lack of ventilation meant the steamy air never left the room, so the mirror now has a permanent fog as the problem must be ongoing. 6. The staff didn't even know about the offers available on the Holiday Inn TV channels and again, made out that I was lying about whatvit said...there was an offer for a surfing school, 20mins from the hotel, which seed like a decent alternative as we couldn't use the pool. Again, phoned reception only to be told that they've never offered or even heard of it. The good: Although the location is a little bit out of town (20mins or so on the train from Muratella, which is literally a 5 min walk from the hotel) we really liked that it offered a quick and cheap route into the centre but offered a less busy environment for more relaxation. The airport shuttle service was great. The breakfast was good. The rooms were a nice size. Ice machines on most floors. The hotel has some computers for use just outside the lobby. Hotel is nice and spacious and main hotel areas look very classy. I have to say that overall we were disappointed with this, especially considering we could have got a hotel in the city centre with no Aircon and no pool for cheaper in the end (and probably a better internet connection) and this is really a shame as we really liked the idea of this seemingly perfect hotel, away from the crowds. Such a shame so many little details let it down.

Great Hotel! Breakfast is delicious! Rooms are clean and comfortable! The receptionist Kristian is pleasant and kind! You can use the pool, fitness and sauna, and very near is train station... There is everything you need for vacation in beautiful city! See ya soon Roma, and ofc the best Holiday Inn!
